Multi-touch Interactive Wall

Role
Lead UI/UX Designer

Take a standard iPad with a 9.7-inch screen, and extend this to 55-inches and 220-inches in size – Inside The Co-operative’s shiny new headquarters at One Angel Square in Manchester city centre sits a touchscreen wall and smaller yet not understated touchscreen pillar.

The problem: The Co-operative’s previous headquarters at CIS Tower Manchester was littered with posters, print-offs, leaflets and notices for upcoming events, celebrations, news and announcements. An eye-sore and opposed The Co-op’s vision for a polished, clean environment in their new HQ.

The solution: Create a giant 220-inch MultiTouch touchscreen wall located in the incredible atrium for Co-operative employees to interact with, and a 55-inch MultiTouch touchscreen in the reception for visitors to explore.

One Angel Square was ceremonially opened The Queen herself on the 14th of November 2013, where the 220-inch interactive wall took centre-stage during the ceremony, complimenting the occasion with fireworks.
